Is Telehealth Virtually Here? COVID-19 has challenged us to work differently and seen extra Ministry funding going into digital and data tools, in particular Telehealth. Does this mean that we should be embracing new ways of doing things? If this is to be the new normal what are the risks and benefits? How do we prepare our patients and ourselves for a new way of delivering healthcare? How do we keep ourselves and our patients safe whilst we do so? Ruth will give an overview of the current situation in regards to Telehealth in New Zealand with a snippet on what is happening internationally also. We will talk briefly about other digital developments and then particularly look at evidence around the benefits and risks of telehealth and what considerations we need to give to providing care remotely.
