Louise Fowler has been a Nurse Practitioner for 3 years however her nursing career expands over 30 years and has been very varied. Currently working within primary care. For the past year Louise has had joint care of residents in 10 aged care facilities with a General Practitioner. Prior to this she was employed by the Western Bay of Plenty PHO as a Clinical Nurse Specialist then Nurse Practitioner and her role was to improve clinical outcomes and reduce hospitalisations for residents in ARC facilities in the Bay of Plenty. These goals were achieved through comprehensive assessments of residents plus empowering nurses to identify deterioration and manage complex conditions. She has been the Nurse Educator for Medical Services. Worked in the emergency department, primary health care, plus various medical, surgical and paediatric wards in both NZ and England.
