Kate O'Dwyer Clinical Resource Nurse, Western Bay of Plenty PHO, Tauranga, NZ
Kate is a RN with 20 years of experience in acute hospital (vascular and surgical) and community nursing settings. Kate joined the WBOP PHO Aged Residential Care Team in 2018 as a Clinical Resource Nurse, working alongside aged care facilities in the Bay of Plenty, supporting with clinical assessment and management of older people, and education support, contributing to provision of quality of care. Kate has a special interest in wound care and is a member of the NZ Wound Care Society Education Advisory Group, and is currently undertaking a Masters of Nursing, working towards becoming a nurse practitioner. Originally from Auckland, Kate moved to Papamoa 9 years ago with her husband and 2 children, to enjoy BOP beach lifestyle.
